The Commission establishes policy concerning selection, planting, maintenance and removal of trees and shrubs and monitors the management of the forested area of the City. The Commission also allocates the funds and expenditures for the Urban Forestry Program and oversees the duties of the City Forester.
The members of the Urban Forestry Commission are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Common Council.
The Urban Forestry Commission meets the fourth Thursday of the month in the Municipal Building. The agenda is available the Friday prior to each meeting.
