Middletown's Economic Development Committee's (EDC) purpose is to serve as the development agency in implementing projects and project plans as promulgated pursuant to Chapters 132 and 5881 of the Connecticut General Statues. For these purposes, the Committee is authorized to receive and dispense public funds, to acquire and dispose of property, to retain expertise and to enjoy such other powers as may be required to fully execute its responsibilities in stimulating and supporting economic development objectives and programs.

The Economic Development Committee meets the 2nd Monday at 5:30 PM of each month in the Municipal Building. The agenda is available the Thursday prior to each meeting.
