- Mattabessett Realty Retail
- Mattabesset Realty is constructing 3 retail plazas on Routes 66, 17 and 3. The retail plazas will be anchored with Dunkin Donuts and has space available for additional retailers.
- Heritage Medical
- Saybrook Road continues to expand as the city’s Medical Corridor with the construction of many new medical office buildings. Heritage Medical Center has opened 80,000 square feet of new medical office space and has plans to construct an additional 30,000 square feet of offices. Orthopedic Associates of Middletown has an approved plan to construct a 32,000 square foot medical building at 512 Saybrook Road.

- M. F. DiScala Company is developing, a 115 acre Millennium Park. The development will consist of approximately 850,000 square feet of industrial space. There is currently a 230,000 square foot existing building and an 85,000 distribution center with several build-to-suit projects under review. This business park is located just off Interstate 91 at exit 20.

The Flatley Company is developing Roscommon Park. The 56 acre first class office park is minutes from I-91 has an approved plan for multiple office buildings and a 400-unit hotel and conference center.

- Hospital Emergency Room Expansion
- Middlesex Hospital is constructing a 35,000 square foot Emergency Room. The $33 million project is designed to provide sate of the art emergency health services to the projected 50,000 patients in 2009.

- South Cove
- The South Cove development project is located at the junction of Routes 9 and 17 along the Connecticut River. SullivanHayes and Faison Enterprises, designated developer of the project, is in the process of due diligence to create a plan for the 85 acre mixed-use development. The developers have found substantial interest for the retail portion of the development. The project will create 400,000 square feet of new retail and entertainment space and several hundred units of housing. A critical element of the project’s design is the connection of the Central Business District with the Connecticut River waterfront.
